When should I consider genetic testing?

Personal or Family Medical History

If you or someone in your family has been diagnosed with a disease such as cancer, heart issues, neurological issues, and others, genetic testing might be right for you.

Reproductive Health

Individuals and/or partners who are planning on having children, or who are expecting should consider having carrier screening. Additional testing may be available to those who have had multiple miscarriages.​​

Testing

How it works

Services

HealthyGene offers genetic counseling and testing for a variety of indications. During your first genetic counseling appointment, you'll review your personal and family health history, learn about your potential familial health risks, understand genetic testing options, and determine how test results may impact your healthcare. Once your results are available, you'll meet with your genetic counselor again to review your results and your personal action plan.

Reproductive Health

For individuals or partners who are planning a pregnancy or are currently pregnant.

Personal History

For individuals with a personal history of cancer.

Proactive Health

For individuals with no personal history of a disease, but may have a family history of a health condition.

Personal Risk Assessment

Not sure if genetic testing is right for you? A risk assessment can help determine if genetic testing is clinically indicated.
